404 Page Not Found Error In PHP Link Directory, phpLD

PHP Link Directory (phpLD) is a directory script in PHP which can be used for creating a web directory. If you are getting a 404 Page Not found error when you click on any link in your PHP Link Directory powered web directory, then, it might be because .htaccess of your install is corrupted. There are two methods two fix this:

Method-1: Download the fresh copy of PHP Link Directory from your PHP Link Directory account. Unzip the files and take out the file .htaccess. Now, use FileZilla or any other FTP client and upload and overwrite it to the location where the old .htaccess was present. If you have enabled cache in your PHP Link Directory install, go ahead and delete the cache. That’s it. You have fixed the .htaccess file for your web directory install.

Method-2: If you don’t have the PHP Link Directory backup copy and if your web hosting provider is as ingenious as Hostgator, just contact the support and tell them that .htaccess is corrupted. They will fix it from their end.
