HTML Canvas Tutorials, Reference, Cheat Sheet for Beginners

Many people will use an HTML cheat sheet for a variety of reasons. Whether you are just starting out in the HTML world, or a seasoned developer needing a reference from time to time, there is no harm in looking back over some of the basics so you do not have to keep it all in your head.

A cheat sheet is a quick list of simple code laid out in a format easy to understand so that the user can use it as a reference. It is a list of the most common HTML tags and their attributes, all grouped together in the relevant format, so it is easy to find what you are looking for.

Sometimes people will make a cheat sheet for themselves so it is personalized for their individual needs, but often it is useful to use a pre-made sheet as it will contain elements that may be required. Remembering each HTML element of the top of your head can be tough for even the most savvy coder, using a cheat sheet can be time saving, while also taking the stress out of a job.

However, the real user of an HTML cheat sheet is a beginner. Basic knowledge of HTML coding is needed, such as how to start out and where you need to go to begin building. A cheat sheet can be invaluable to someone who is just starting out in the field, and it is a good place to start. So, instead of googling everything you do not know, or trying to look up, finding elements on a laid out sheet is much easier. Soon you will become familiar where all the information is on the sheet, so finding what you need to know could not be simpler.

An example of when a cheat sheet would be used is if you have set up a website or had a website set up for you. Once it is live, you may find that you want a few edits or additions. Contacting your web developer every time can become time consuming and expensive, which is why it is helpful to know basic HTML and have a reference to look back to in these circumstances. With the help of a cheat sheet, you can change elements on the website such as the layout, fonts, colors, text, images and other formatting to make it look how you want it to look. The fact that you are not relying on anyone else to get something done means that changes can be made when you want them to be made, plus you will end up saving a lot of money in the long run. When you have a vision in your head of how you want something to look, it can be difficult to describe it to someone else. Having full power over how your website looks is what many people desire.

This cheat sheet can be viewed on the web or downloaded as a PDF so it can be accessed and used wherever you are. There are advantages of both methods. If you are using the cheat sheet on the web, then it can be updated automatically, and more elements can be added to it. Downloaded versions would have to be regularly updated.

There are several ways that a cheat sheet can be used, and it depends on its purpose. Many people just use it as a quick reference, and can adapt the basic code to their needs. If the function on the cheat sheet is what you need, then it can also be copied and pasted straight onto the canvas to get the desired results. Many people have found success with this method and completed a task in half that time it would have taken them without the use of the cheat sheet. It would seem that a cheat sheet is becoming ever more popular in the web development world as more and more people are relying on them for the web development needs.
